Hanuman Jayanthi celebrations today, Devotees flock temples

Hanuman Jayanthi is being observed today with great devotion and spiritual fervour across Tamil Nadu, as thousands of devotees visit Anjaneya temples to offer prayers and seek blessings. From early morning, temples are witnessing continuous inflow of worshippers, with special poojas, abhishekams, chanting of Hanuman Chalisa and religious rituals taking place throughout the day.

At the famous Namakkal Anjaneya temple, the celebrations reach a grand scale, with the deity being adorned with one lakh and eight vadamalai, symbolising devotion and gratitude. This elaborate offering draws massive crowds, with devotees waiting patiently in long queues for darshan.

Special poojas and decorations are also marking the celebrations at the Nanganallur Anjaneya temple in Chennai and the Panchavati Anjaneya temple, where devotees are taking part enthusiastically in rituals and offerings. Priests are performing special homams, while bhajans and devotional music fill the temple premises, adding to the festive atmosphere.

Many devotees observe fasts, perform tulabharam, offer butter, betel garlands and sweets, and participate in spiritual gatherings to mark the day. Several temples organise annadanam for devotees as part of the festivities.

Temples across the state are wearing a vibrant festive look with flowers, lights, and colourful decorations, as the faithful celebrate the auspicious occasion with deep faith and devotion, praying for strength, courage, and well-being.
