Comedian Peter Kay has announced all of the profits from his 2026 stand-up tour will be donated to 12 cancer charities.

The comic from Bolton, 52, is launching his Better Late Than Never tour that begins in December and ends at the AO Arena in Manchester in August.

“Unfortunately, everybody knows someone who’s been affected on that list [of 12 charities], and I just hope people support it,” Kay told the One Show on Wednesday.

“You don’t even have to like me to come, it goes beyond that, this is about supporting these charities,” he said and joked “if it’s not funny, you’ll get your money back.”

The charities are:

  • Children With Cancer UK
  • Teenage Cancer Trust
  • Kidney Cancer UK
  • Blood Cancer UK
  • Bowel Cancer UK
  • Prostate Cancer UK
  • DKMS UK,
  • Ovarian Cancer Action
  • Pancreatic Cancer UK
  • Anthony Nolan
  • The Brain Tumour Charity
  • Breast Cancer UK

Rachel Calderon, deputy director of fundraising at Blood Cancer UK, said the announcement was a “milestone” moment.

“Everyone in the blood cancer community, whether they’re affected by leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma is genuinely chuffed and deeply grateful,” she said.

Dr Michele Afif, CEO of The Brain Tumour Charity, said Kay has the charity’s “deepest gratitude” for his support.

“Including The Brain Tumour Charity as one of the charities benefitting from the proceeds of his 2026 tour, will be instrumental to us achieving much needed change for everyone we stand alongside. Thank you, Peter. From all of us,” she said.

Tickets for nine recently-added dates go on sale on Sunday.
