Hyderabad: Mittapalli Rithvika from Nizamabad district has been selected to represent India at the 11th Asian Aquatic Championship 2025, scheduled to be held at the Aquatic Stadium, Veer Savarkar Sports Complex in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, from September 28 to October 1.
The announcement was made by Swimming Federation of India General Secretary Monal Chokshi, who confirmed that Rithvika will compete in the swimming events against top athletes from across Asia.
As part of the preparations, selected athletes will undergo a month-long special training camp from August 26 to September 26 at the same venue.
Telangana State Swimming Association President Chandrasekhar Reddy, Secretary Umesh, Vice President G. Maipal Reddy, and other officials congratulated Rithvika on her achievement, terming it a proud moment for Telangana.
