A blood donation camp was organized by the Social Service Wing of the Rajyoga Education and Research Foundation of the Brahma Kumaris at the Gamdevi Centre, Mehta House, to mark Universal Brotherhood Day on August 25. The day commemorates the ascension of the late Chief of the Brahma Kumaris, Dadi Prakashmani ji.
In line with the occasion, similar blood donation drives were held by the Brahma Kumaris across India, with the aim of serving humanity through the vital act of donating blood. At the Gamdevi Centre, around 75 members of the organization came forward to voluntarily donate blood. The camp was organized in association with Gleneagles Hospital, Parel.
The event commenced with a candle-lighting ceremony in the presence of Dr. Rajeev Nikte, Head of Blood Centre, Gleneagles Hospital; Dr. Jageshwar Pandey, Chairman and Medical Director, Ruxmani Hospital; and BK Sister Niha, Incharge of the Gamdevi Subzone.
