For those of us who partake in the musical aspects of Fortnite–whether that be playing the Festival rhythm game, using jam tracks to create impromptu mashups, or just wearing your favorite music artist into battle–the start of a new Festival season is a big occasion, because it brings with it a new music pass that gets you eight jam tracks, several instruments, emotes and other cosmetics, and a skin or two, for 1400 V-Bucks or the price of a month of Fortnite Crew. And the Fortnite Festival Season 10 music pass is headlined by a band that’s been heavily requested by the Festival community basically since the day the mode was originally introduced: Gorillaz.

This is the first time since Metallica that the Festival headliner is a group instead of an individual artist, though Gorillaz is a little bit different since the fictional cartoon band members don’t correspond to real human beings. As a result, the band members are split between the music pass and the item shop–Russel and Murdoc are in the pass, with Russel unlocked instantly when you buy it, and 2D and Noodle are in the item shop with their own bundle that includes a mic stand, a guitar, the Dare jam track and emote, and a couple other things.

As for the rest of the stuff on the music pass, this is a momentous one for folks who main drums in Festival, because the pass has two separate drum kits–a Gorillaz-themed one to go with Russel on the premium part of the pass, and a strangely unsettling kit that has a teddy bear tied to it. Beyond that, the pass also includes a free keytar, and Murdoc’s bass on the premium side.

Most important, though, is the jam tracks. As is the norm, this music pass will include four licensed jam tracks and four Epic-produced ones. The licensed tracks include On Melancholy Hill by Gorillaz, Interstate Love Song by Stone Temple Pilots, Montagem Tomada by MXZI, and Run It Up by Hanumankind. Three of the Epic-produced songs appear to be new ones, but the fourth, Pick It Up (Remix), should be an extended version of the song that accompanies the Pick It Up emote.

For a look at what’s in store in the new music pass, scroll on.
